ARTHUR:

Okay.  Now that we have a few more readers, I'll try to do this right.

For cross smack talk, check out St. Louis Game Time.

Tonight's game starts at 7:00 PM PDT with no basic cable coverage.  You can listen online or on AM 1090.

The Blues are on an 0-2-1 skid after sweeping the Wings in Stockholm.  I'm all verklempt.  You have your topic.  Dicuss.

I always make it a point to go to a Ducks-Blues game as I had a stint in theStL earlier in the decade, unfortunately I can’t make it too tonights game but I already have tickets for January 4th. There a real fun team to watch and root for, they just need a few more good defenseman and a legitimate goaltender. Luckily, we have those things, therefore Ducks triumph over the Blues 4-1.

I think the Blues have a really good net minder in Mason, he’s just not a star yet. It will be a fun night of hockey, but I think Perry continues his scoring ways. Not to mention, Kariya will inevitably piss off the home crowd by potting one on the power play.

I’m not knocking Mason but he isn’t the stud that they need to really exceed expectations. Take for example the crosstown pussies named the Kings. They have Jonathan Quick, good goaltender but he isn’t great. If the Kings had an all-star netminder on their team it would be a pretty tough time in the Staples Center. Same holds true for Mason, he’s decent, he’ll keep his team above water but he isn’t anything that deserves commending. The guy is 33 and has had one year with the majority of the starts, the ’notes better hope they have a stud in the prospect pool.

They don’t but they can trade for one using what they do have in the pool

It reminded me of that scene from Inglorious Basterds where they’re talking about how Germans represent “3” digit-ally. Apparently Canadians have a completely different way.

I realize why Kariya is booed

but is Andy “I’m lovin’ it!” McDonald still liked there in Orange County?

My sister is at this game. It’s her first hockey game ever, how sad.

It happens.

My first game was a Blues game against the Flames back in 2003. The Blues were down by one goal with 1:30 left, and scored on themselves while the goaltender was pulled for an extra attacker. :(

Hopefully, your sister will still be won over by the fact that hockey is the greatest, most intense, action-packed game on the planet. If not just keep clubbing her on the head and taking her to games until she realizes it. ;)

well, we got free t-shirts. That’s . . . something.

I was about to apologize for the turnout and blame BoC for cannibalizing our thread traffic. But I guess the Angels game is to blame for diminished Duck fan participation all around.
