Blueline Plot
ARTHUR:
I was in the mood to make a few tables this afternoon, and I figured I should probably learn how to do that on SBN before the season really gets going.
These graphs just give a general statistical look at the Ducks defenders making less than 4M. Not enough data to really draw any conclusions here, more of a dry run for me, but I thought I'd give you a peak at the numbers if you've been too scared to look.
As you'll see after the jump, I enjoy large charts. You can click on them if you can't read them; they get even larger.
(Sorry for the extra zeroes in time on ice stats; still figuring that one out)

its not that bad. the most give aways is 4. It looks alot worse than it really is. Now, if the trend continues for another 8 games, then were in trouble.
hooked on quack
yea it’s 4…but for 3 different guys! Plus…no one is really “making up for it”
I just hope it looks a little better after 16 games

Yeah, once there’s some “statistically significant” data, I can do a real chart. Maybe get some Corsi or Fenwick numbers together. For now, I was just working out fonts and SBN display area, etc.
If we stay at the bottom of the Pacific, I’ll probably have to chart something by Thanksgiving, just to explain the sadness to myself.

I actually think Eminger’s pretty good; he’s played the most minutes and the most shorthanded minutes. I was shocked by his hits/blocked shots. It’s kind of crazy that Sbisa has identical giveaway/takeaway numbers on 60 less minutes, not to mention 3 minor penalties to Eminger’s 0.
There’s really just not enough info yet.

I think the fact that Eminger is so prominent may be the issue — he seems better fit for a depth role.
And yeah, I’ve seen him miss the net a ton. Guy could use a few aiming lessons.

Thanks, Sleek. I like the Ducks font for the numbers, not sure how readable it is for the letters.

Yeah, I think we should maybe move Wisniewski back to the first pairing. Or maybe go to seven defensemen and reduce the amount of minutes for everyone.
