***Christensen On Loan To Manitoba***

THE TELETYPE:

The Anaheim Ducks announced that center Erik Christensen has been loaned to the Manitoba Moose of the AHL.  Such an arrangement leaves Christensen on Anaheim's roster, but allows the forward to play and practice with the team for 14 days.  Ducks properties Matt McCue and Brian Salcido have been playing with Manitoba since the beginning of this season.

Why is Christensen always on the short end of the stick? Why is he permanently stuck in Carlye’s doghouse?

Carlyle was very optimistic about him last year. He talked about how Christensen hadn’t been brought along properly, and was expected to be a second-line center out of the box, without ever having the experience of being a great fourth-line center. And he said he was going to give him that small responsibility, just telling him to be the best fourth-line center in the league, the top 6 play would come naturally after that.

Not sure where it got derailed.
