Sleek has the skinny on the unlikely win/loss record the Ducks would need to salvage the last 63 games of the season. Two teams have done it, and both posted losses in the teens. Anaheim is currently on pace to post wins in the teens for its remaining 63.
Koivu and Carter joined the IR crowd, while MacGregor Sharp joined teammate Kyle Calder in the Anaheim locker room. Sharp is a center, and should be taking over fourth line center duties with Christensen loaned to Manitoba. Tinkering with Wednesday's line rushes from The OC Register, I think you can expect to see the following combos:
Bobby Ryan-Ryan Getzlaf-Corey Perry
Evgeny Artyukhin-Petteri Nokelainen-Teemu Selanne
Kyle Calder-Todd Marchant-Joffrey Lupul

I just can’t remember where I’ve heard the song before. Wait. I remembered. It’s from the movie Beaches. My mom and sister used to watch that shit all the time.
I like how songs that are fifty or more years old, you interpret as being “from” the first place YOU heard them. As though I could go to the opera and be like, “Oh, Nozze de Figaro. That’s from Rabbit of Seville. That portion of Mozart’s career where he wrote for Looney Tunes.”

Because when I first heard them is what makes me think of them. I’m aware the song is older, but what I can’t remember is where I first heard it, and not knowing that is what drives me crazy.
yeah, really a personal thing that you shouldn’t involve other people in, like when This Magic Moment came on and you thanked Sandlot. Not everyone has those two things fused between neurons like you do.

No magic, Keith just agreed to a deal that stretches into his retirement. They were lucky that he’s 26 and could sign a lifetime. Only problem is, they have to ship a guy off to get everything tagged for next year.

i don’t know how you move byfuglien. Wild take him as a homer deal? I think they move versteeg, the one guy they know they can, to get under the tagging rules, and then try to keep everyone else until the deadline.

I don’t really have much of a memory of what kind of player he was back when he was with us. The only think that I really remember about him, when he was a Duck was that he got into a fight during a game I saw.
He had some monster seasons in the AHL. I think in Cinci, he was second in scoring, between our two first round draft picks at the time. And some of that translated. I remember him having a fistful of goals in the quarter of a season we gave him. Lumbering skater, but a really thick body.

haha, he’ll be asking for 6.75 I think. Hopefully the you can’t make more than getzlaf argument we used on perry still works. Add in a bad economy and maybe we can downplay his numbers this season.

It’s a bit of ducks history. Didn’t really stick, but for that first season, the french speaking hockey world did refer to us as such.

what are you going to do about that Stamkos play? I mean. yeah Boynton should have swatted with his hand and not his stick, but that’s just a bad bounce. We were playing great. This is a good chance to show we can overcome these things.

Bobby Ryan has drawn 3 calls in this period. It’s like he knew he needed to step it up to get paid this off season.
it won’t last. he laid some rough checks last year, and is starting to throw them ‘bows. He’ll be a Big Bad Duck in their eyes soon enough. Koivu, on the other hand, should fake a seizure once in a while

I think it’s great that Wisniewski finally admitted he was injured on a play instead of hobbling his tired fragile body around the ice for 25 minutes. Power Play’s been great as well. I’ve only been tempted to throw the remote at the Boynton and Calder, really.

Calder hadn’t been nearly as bad as Boynton. Where the hell is Eminger. Why does Carlyle insist on benching the wrong people.
he probably has the flu or something. brookbank took a penalty last game. Eminger’s Carlyle’s boy. Not sure whose boy Brookbank is. Played for us before Paterson was our pro coach, I think. Maybe he’s McNab’s boy

for a guy who doesn’t play and knows he’d have to be waived to go to the minors, brookbank’s really professional about it. he didn’t say anything sitting all of last game. And he still tries to mix it up when he’s in there without drawing too much attention to himself. Dude is basically hanging out with the team like the boy in Almost Famous, and he still shows up to play when he’s called. Reading what I typed, I now HOPE he’s McNab’s boy

he’s said he’s not going to try and interfere with them too much since they’re both fully developed under Allaire. But they’re both struggling and he needs to be saying SOMETHING. He can’t just hang out withi Piel and Pogge in Bakersfield.

classic sports axiom. if you have two quarterbacks, then you really have none.
We should definitely take advantage of it though. We won’t need either guy for the playoffs and we have money next year. Sign HIller to a two year 2.5 mil a year or something and carry both of them next year.

maybe, but this is a great opportunity with this season pretty much tanked and neither playing very well. It’s much harder to move giguere, so why not carry them. it’ll be MUCH easier to move jiggy at any point during next season. And hiller can’t ask for too much after this nonsense. Murray doesn’t have teh good sense, but it’s an opportunity

I like the way he’s playing. He looked nervous on the wing, but on the blue line he looks ready to play his game. Certainly playing better than Boynton.

He’s had some good blocks of some almost dangerous passes. I just like Brookbank’s overall game more tonight. Although Boynton isn’t making as many stupid plays to be sure.
Well, Brookbank’s making careful plays since the tie. Boynton’s threading the needle on some tougher plays that the Boynton of the first 2 period couldn’t even attempt
