The Ducks continued their slow ascent into the light of the Western Conference with a 3-2 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes at the Ponda Center. The Artyukhin-Koivu-Selanne line, nickname pending, finally cracked the scoresheet and put together the game winning goal. Corey Perry stretched his point streak to 16 games and Giguere sparkled in net, only being outdone by a couple of strange bounces in conjunction with poor defense. The Ducks found solace in special teams play, scoring a goal on the power play and killing off all penalties. Unfortunately, defensive and neutral zone turnovers are still a problem. A poor defensive effort on Friday against the Blackhawks will make for a long game for Jiggy between the pipes.

this line is FAST. I was at the game last night and this line was the fastest group out there (for either team) by FAR. I am rooting for them to do well.

the nickname thing is a little tricky. We should just call them the tweeker line, cause of all there speed……………..lame.

ASK is pretty creative.

You know forcing a nickname just makes it sound ……well………forced. Its gotta be natural, just give em some more time together, something will pop up.

I don’t know about a nickname for the whole line, but if this line stays together, I say we start calling Artyuhkin “Gleek,” to go along with the Wonder Finns’ moniker
