Open Gameday Thread Blackhawks @ Ducks

Chicago Blackhawks at Anaheim Ducks, Nov 27, 2009 1:00 PM PST

Next Game

ARTHUR:

Anaheim is coming off a close one against the worst team in the Eastern Conference, and Chicago is coming off a multiple shorthanded goal pasting of the best team in the Western Conference.  'Nuff said.

Post any game info in the comments.  This is going to be a tough one.

Not a lot of offensive pressure early on.

Who scored. I’m on a lunch break from my meeting, and I just turned the game on

Perry has great hands.

Another PP goal for Selanne.

by Daniel AC on Nov 27, 2009 2:09 PM PST reply actions

I know I’m a day late, but I am thankful for selanne, and so is my fantasy team

Byfuglien just clobbered Jiggy in front of the crease.

by Daniel AC on Nov 27, 2009 2:14 PM PST reply actions

penalty was called.

I know it’s the wrong time to say it, but I really want byf in a ducks uniform

I’m still holding anger towards the Blackhawks for finding a way to not lose Duncan Keith. I want to make them suffer a little longer. Although I’d prefer Byfuglien of all their forwards that are not Toews and Kane. he’d be good on a line with Lupul

Boynton on the PP.

by Daniel AC on Nov 27, 2009 2:18 PM PST up reply actions

Keith also sliced Getzlaf’s Easton ST in half on the sly. Goddamn blueline ninja

by Arthur from Anaheim Calling on Nov 27, 2009 2:30 PM PST via mobile up reply actions

I hate him for being so good sometimes. Stupid Blackhawks and their deceptive cap situation.

by Daniel AC on Nov 27, 2009 2:31 PM PST up reply actions

Just going by the scoreboard … Hawks must be playing like the Sharks did on Wed in order for the Ducks to be up 3- zip … :)

Ever get the feeling we are on a collision course with reality? (boycott Hollywood!)

by ang6666 on Nov 27, 2009 2:25 PM PST reply actions

Mostly it’s just been simplifying the PP and breaking down the penalty killers. Jiggy’s had a pretty good game and that’s helped a lot too.

by Daniel AC on Nov 27, 2009 2:27 PM PST up reply actions

Whatever ang, transitive property. We’re better than the sharks through 2

by Arthur from Anaheim Calling on Nov 27, 2009 2:29 PM PST via mobile up reply actions

Wow. Corey Perry has an 18 game point streak? How is that not news wherever I’m going through the different news outlets on the web? That’s a record right? If I’m not mistaken Selänne had a 16 point streak?

Welcome to SBN. ( a bit late saying that, I know).

Sweden over and out.

Actually it’s 17 games, he’s tied for the Anaheim record with Selanne, it’s not a story because no one really covers West Coast sports except West Coast media, and Thank You for stopping by, Arthur and I enjoying our new SBN home.

by Daniel AC on Nov 27, 2009 2:39 PM PST up reply actions

17 it is. I guess that’s it then. I’m pretty sure that i’ve jinxed him now. Sorry.

Ducks are weathering a storm, but we need to spend some time in the Chicago Zone. Great play in front of the net to tie up Byfuglien.

by Daniel AC on Nov 27, 2009 2:58 PM PST reply actions

Can’t believe Perry took that penalty. It wasn’t much of a penalty, but it’s something you shouldn’t give the ref a chance to call.

by Daniel AC on Nov 27, 2009 3:09 PM PST reply actions

There’s a circle of yellow ice inside Jiggy’s net…I have no idea what happened.
