I'd like to say something positive about tonight's game, so here it goes. Getzlaf was cut by his own skate and somehow managed to only need stitches instead of needing surgery. The Ducks continued to be an enigma wrapped in a mystery, wrapped in a riddle etc. The Sharks thoroughly outplayed the Ducks for the first 40 minutes and when the Ducks caught their breath they were down 5 goals. Giguere was the victim of some bad bounces and the offense couldn't generate anything until Chipchura stole the puck from former Duck Huskins to beat Nabokov.
The Ducks need to find a way to get something going. However it seems they are currently devoted to getting a pick in the top 5 of the 2010 draft. I'm sure Arthur will start previewing prospects soon. Special shoutout to rookie Matt Beleskey who got into his first NHL fight.
