It wasn't all smiles for the Ducks after they won their fifth strait. Teemu Selanne took a puck to the face and suffered a broken jaw in the third period. Still, the Ducks managed to survive a poor defensive night by simply out scoring the opposition. Goals by Dan Sexton, Matt Beleskey, Ryan Getzlaf and Steve Eminger, yeah I said Eminger, were enough to get past the Bruins' three second period goals. Eminger's first goal as a Duck came in dramatic fashion as he broke a 3-3 tie midway through the third period.
Corey Perry had an assist and is working on a 5 game point streak heading into tomorrow's showdown with the Kings. Saku Koivu continues to be the Ducks MVP this season performing any and every task needed. he has 10 points in his last 9 games, is killing penalties, and winning clutch faceoffs. The fact is he's as responsible for some of these wins as Jonas Hiller. Koivu is making key defensive plays at the end of one goal games, and Hiller is producing some phenomenal saves. The play is certainly there, but the Ducks aren't in the playoffs yet. There's plenty of hockey to keep us occupied. Finally, I learned that my seat is G 10 and not G 11, Long Live the Magumbo!!!

Big Win tonight
The Ducks really hung in there and grinded one out. Now we need them to do the same against the Kings. Big game Thursday!

So his ‘offensive upside’ requires him to be one foot from the goal mouth? Well, yeah, I’ll agree that he can hit the net from there. Two feet out, now, that’s another matter.

Your seat was always 10. I was always 11 until you messed it up last game, and we escaped by the skin of our teeth.

The skin of our teeth? As usual you exaggerate. Yes Offensive upside, he read that play perfectly and snuck down from the point. Boynton wouldn’t have done that. Although, I choose to believe Boynton is a better choice than Wisniewski. Then again, you’re a better choice than wisniewski.

pffft. delusional. The guy can’t hit the net from farther than 20ft. out. I’m not saying Boynton’s a better defenseman, not by a long stretch, never did say that. But your estimation of Eminger’s grand offensive upside is delusional. It makes me wonder if you’ve ever SEEN a hockey game.
