Open Gameday Recap Thread Ducks @ Predators

The Ducks have an official winning streak. Anaheim won it's third game in a row behind Matt Beleskey's third game in a row with a goal. Teemu Selanne returned to the line up and immediately got a goal. Ryan Getzlaf rounded out the scoring by firing a writs shot passed a screened Pekka Rinne.

Hiller continued to solidify his position as the number one guy between the pipes with another solid effort. The Ducks have a tough match up with Chicago tomorrow night, but both teams will be playing the second game of back to backs. It could be even more dangerous considering the Blackhawks surrendered four goals in the third period to Minnesota enabling them to stay at least one more point away from us in the standings.

the guys from second city hockey had my favorite description: “his sometime[s] downright baffling decision-making could lead to a fire drill in his own zone.” It’s funny how terrible he and Whitney look in our offense. They can’t seem to put anything together to redeem their mistakes, but in their respective former systems, they ran the breakout and transition very well. If we ever put together a cannon, these guys can light the fuse.
