Open Gameday Recap Thread Ducks @ Flames

DANIEL:

The Ducks had a golden opportunity to move within one point of the last playoff spot and into a tie with Calgary and they watched it skate right past them. Jarome Iginla scored twice and Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 26 of the 27 shots he faced, and that was all that the Flames needed to remind the Ducks that they've still got a way to go before they can start thinking about the playoffs.

Troy Bodie provided the Ducks offense, not a very encouraging sign. The Ducks have, what is now, a must win against Edmonton tomorrow night. Anaheim seems to be trying to avoid the playoffs and a lackluster effort against the Oilers might find them in a hole too big to overcome.
