THE TELETYPE:
The Ducks announced yesterday that they reassigned defenseman Brett Festerling to Toronto of the AHL before the Olympic roster freeze. The move leaves the team short a starting defenseman, but the club specifically noted that the reassignment would allow Festerling to play in games during the Olympic break.
