Open Gameday Recap Thread Avalanche @ Ducks

ARTHUR:
600

Six Hundred.

It happened at home, on the last game of a seven game homestand, in a game the Ducks dominated.  The Avalanche are banged up, but the Ducks might have overwhelmed them at full strength.  There were just too many things going right, too many players willing to go to the tough spots on the ice, willing to push and willing to stand up for each other-- Koivu, by the way, did not take a punch standing up for Dan Sexton, but he did manage to take a puck to the mouth in the third and did not return.  Ultimately, the power play and a shorthanded tally put down a would-be comeback, and Anaheim left with 600 being just one good feeling in a game full of good feelings.
