***Ducks Recall Oystrick***

The Ducks announced today that they have recalled defenseman Nathan Oystrick, whom they acquired along with a conditional pick from Atlanta in exchange for Evgeny Artyukhin on March 1st. (Additional sources for those paranoid about April Fools' Day: The OC Register, J.P. Hoornstra). Oystrick was playing with the Chicago Wolves of the AHL, where he played two full seasons from 2006 to 2008 before playing 53 games with the Thrashers last year. He has 7 goals, 16 assists and 96 PIM in 43 games with the minor league club.
UPDATE: Brendan Mikkelson was re-assigned to Toronto of the AHL to make room for Oystrick.
