The Ducks take Cam Fowler, Windsor Spitfires defenseman from Farminton HIlls, MI.

Fowler was ranked 5th best North American Skater by Central Scouting, 5th overall by ISS and 5th overall in Bob McKenzie's Draft ranking.  He falls here, along with Brandon Gormley, behind defenseman Dylan McIlrath

Above is the audio link to Cam Fowler's press interview in the scrum in the tunnel.  It's about 15 minutes.  He covers what it felt like to fall, and he also lamented the fact that Newell Brown wouldn't be coming back.  Fowler attended a prospects Camp with Brown, Matt Duchene and others, and he stayed at Brown's home.
