THE TELETYPE:
With The 177th Pick, Anaheim selects defenseman Kevin Lind from the Chicago Steel of the USHL.

Details to follow...

ARTHUR:

I like Lind.  Out of Chicago of the USHL, I think I can point to John Moore as an example of how indicative a strong performance with the Steel can be of someone's ability at the next level.  Lind isn't an offensive defenseman as Moore was, but his ability to control forwards one-on-one at the USHL level should not be dismissed.  A quality skater, he's extremely mobile defensively and at 6'3", he has a nice frame to build upon.  Lind is committed to Notre Dame.
