what now?
im using a crappy computer in the library whose keys dont shift right so here goes.... now that brooks is signed i thought to myself what now? he can play big minutes but doesn;t have the defensive ability of a prongs but still is a steady rock... he can let lubo do whatever the hell he wants with the puck in the offensive zone... we don't need him to be a pronger so maybe just maybe he can elevate his game like he did this year and help fix our woes so we wont need to overpay for volchenkov who doesnt even want to move west.... so ducks fans is brooks ready for a top-4 role?
PS. Whenever i try to attach a poll the computer freezes and i have to start over again and i got like 5 minutes left in my session so just discuss below in the comments section your thought... peace and GO DUCKS!!!!!!

I think he is ready for a top 4 role. Even though he is getting up in years I think there is still an upside to him and that he is nowhere near his peak. Like I said in the Brookbank thread, this deal is great for both sides. He needs to watch Lubos back and in turn I think he will accel at that role and playing in the top 4. Make no mistake, he will need to be better than he was this year to keep a top 4 spot but I think he can do it.
He can play the Top 4 some nights, but if you’re talking about being a Top 4 guy against the NHL’s best, the NHL’s playoff teams, etc., then no. He can’t play 20 minutes against skill forwards, not if you’re backing him up with a small offensive defenseman and an iffy center.
