There’s a lot wrong with this, as I iPhoned it from Anaheim Ice, namely it should read our first holdout in a long time, but the question stands. If Eklund is to be believed, and he isn’t though he’s beeneight a few times lately, bob IS looking at forwards and teams ARE preparing offer sheets. But it looks like b-ry and barstool are just fighting a press war

I honestly believe something will get done before training camp. It’s really just a matter of time. I really doubt barstool will cave. He’s made some smart moves lately and I personally think $4.6 million a year is more than enough for Bobby. It may turn out to be a bargain midway through the contract, but he’s too one-dimensional to be paid more right now.
I think the idea of a hold-out will only damage Bobby’s value. When he realizes this, he might turn to a one-year deal and negotiate during the season for an extension that will take him to UFA status.
There's nothing to see here. And nothing gazes back at me.
Well if this does go to a hold out then I think that will be very bad for Ryan. Even though the main disagreement is about term, the fans usually see a hold out as about money. Right or wrong a “greedy” tag usually gets assigned to the player. Once that tag is on Bobby then the end of his days playing at Anaheim will be right around the corner. Neither side can afford this. Bob Murray needs to have a top 6 forward playing and he needs to know what he has to spend on shoring up our D. If Bobby is holding out then I see Bob trading him despite what he has said in the press. I don’t see Bob Murray as one who will negotiate and work things out. At least not this year with the situation our D is in. Bobby is basically holding up our offseason plans along with the Kovy situation and I would be surprised if Bob doesn’t move on Ryan one way or the other sooner rather then later. If Bobby wants to stay in Anaheim then time is not on his side.
We’ll take him.
Our RFA for yours? ( he is RFA right?)
Raymond and a 2nd for Ryan?
Yeah…I know….tried though right?
I like Raymond but you guys would have to come up with alot more. Also if we were to dump Ryan we would want D in return. Another forward does not meet our needs.

haha, Raymond could play with Sharp again. You guys have no money to add, so I don’t even know if this is a time to make jokes.
