Luca Sbisa's Outlook on Next Season
I have to admit. This article kinda cracked me up. I admire the kids' dedication, though. (See Negative Nelly's, I found a positive without using my favorite "d" word)

I feel obligated to go order some Sbisa gnocchi now.

Gnocchi is one of my favorite dishes ever. I will not allow this silly article to change that.
The menu is full of random names. I wonder if they’ll take “Smoked Chicken Fettuccine Bobby Ryan” off the menu if he doesn’t sign.

I was pretty sad when the Flyers traded Sbisa, but when you’re trading for Chris Pronger, the price is going to be significant. I realize that you didn’t see much of him last year, which was a surprise to me, and maybe what you did see wasn’t that great, although 8 games isn’t much of an opportunity to show what you can do.
I’m not sure what went on there, but he did play 39 games with the Flyers in the 2008/9 season, and he was not sent down because of his play — but rather due to salary cap issues. He more than held his own on the 3rd D pair, and also showed a lot of utility, as injuries were so crazy that at one point the Flyers were playing him on the 4th line as a wing. He also has some kind of unnatural metabolism, and tested out as the most fit player on the team. I’m hoping that he’s healthy and has a break out year for the Ducks, and the added strength should definitely help.
