Time for the Big Ones
Alright peeps Ilya has finally made his damn mind about where he wants to play. Good for us the Kings have had a worse offseason then us but are still the better team.... DEPRESSING.... Anyway the point is now that the big one has been taken off the market teams are expected to deal to clear cap space and roster holes. ESPN is saying the Stars and the Ducks are in on Bieska but the Stars have to wait for their ownership situation. That gives us the advantage plus the fact that our prospect system looks pretty stacked with D-men. I know Bieska would help but I would rather trade for Erhoff or Edler. Make it happen Murray!

I’d prefer Erhoff, however it seems that Bieska is the only one on the market.
We need more Boyntons.
Erhoffs good, but Bieksa’s would be better fit. Still think Willie Mitchell would be awesome and has a real good physical presence but as we all know he has to prove he is healthy before anyone gives him an offer. Suttons a big guy, but not mobile. I
I think your right about us aquiring Bieksa cost would be low and proven top 4
Suttons mobile….Oh you mean when not hitting someone into next week….
I rec’d that shit.

I don’t get why people like Bieska more in the poll. Erhoff is obviously better but maybe the price would be too high?
I went Erhoff because frankly at this point I dont think we will see a ton of deals to shore up our D. At least to the levels we all want. So I went with best player simply cause it looks like we might only pick up one guy on d. I would love to see Bob prove me wrong really but after watching the UFA’s slip off the market I don’t see Bob being too aggressive for d men this year.

He wasnt bad actually. I have watched some film on the guy. He could play. He was no superstar but he was no Wiz either.

With that small body I’m sure he got manhandled in front of his net… LOL :) Kinda ironic he built a team out of matches last year… I really don’t understand why he signed Boynton. Was there anything he is especially good at? Nope. I just wanna know how Murray thinks when he signs players to contracts.
The sharks were stupid to let Ehrhoff go, and they paid for it eventually. He is a younger player, but Bieksa is a bruiser which we now lack…
we should give vancouver in exchange for erhoff:
Mitera, Festerling, Vaive, 3rd rounder or
Schultz, 4th, Palmieri
On your first offer maybe drop the 3rd round and throw in a 4th. That could then be a workable deal.
On your second offer Palmieri would be a tough one to let go of. That kid has the potential of being an absolute baller.

We can lose him because Smith-Pelly has the chance to become a Dustin Byugflien and Sexton has second-line ability too… I think our system is overloaded with potential players. I mean look at the glut at center. Peter Holland, Nick Bonino, Nicolas Deschamps ( although I think he’ll play wing in the NHL), Radoslav Illo, Andreas Dahlstrom… Mcnab is so good at scouting he draft all these unknowns that end up being good players. Look at McDonald and Penner.
well actually he signed McDonald and Penner but still look at Vatanen and Bobkov who are 2 potential steals. The point is I think the first offer is a bit weak for a franchise D-man which I believe Erhoff is and which we don’t have right now. Mitera has potential to play on the first pairing as a shut-down guy but he’s been injured. Festerling is just a depth guy a throw in if you will. Vaive has Travis Moen/ Dustin potential I hear. A 3rd is a decent piece. Hopefully Gillis is dumb enough to accept…
Now Bobby Ryan for Eric Staal is something I would take.

YEAH DOES ANYONE HAVE ERIC STEPHENS EMAIL SO I CAN ASK HIM WHAT MURRAY’s email is? hey arthur can u tell stephens i gotta great idea and he should read the email i’ll send him. cuz he’ll probably ignore it since i’m just a fan but if it came from anaheim calling’s boss then he would probably listen…. PLEASE
I don’t think Murray would see any difference from a fan that runs a site to a fan that comments on one
There's nothing to see here. And nothing gazes back at me.
no guys this isn’t a joke notify Arthur immediately… Why don’t GM’s and owners ever listen to fans with a good idea. It’s mind-boggling cause if I ran the team I sure as hell would listen to an idea Arthur, Jen, Nate, or Newport, etc. would have
Just to play devil’s advocate here, who determines what is and is not a good idea? I mean, I’m sure Barstool Bob gets plenty of help from McNabb and the staff, so why bother listening to a bunch of fans when it’s their job to figure that stuff out?
There's nothing to see here. And nothing gazes back at me.
I am a big Sbisa homer. That said I wonder if he is ready to have first line minutes and against first line opponets? I don’t think he is there yet but very well could be by end of season or next year.
