Cam Fowler Signs Entry Level Contract
So, per the Ducks' Twitter, Cam Fowler has signed an entry level contract with Anaheim. I don't find it horribly surprising that he would, seeing his value as a blue chip prospect, but I worry when our bottom 4 will currently be almost all rookies - Brendan Mikkelson, Luca Sbisa, Cam Fowler, and Jake Gardiner (Maybe), that's a little scary. Thoughts about our weak blueline? I don't want a Boynton™, but a Mara® might not be the worst thing in the world.

Don’t think Gardiner will make the team. Fowler probably won’t either. As of now our blueline looks like this:
Visnovsky-Lydman
Mikkelsson-Brookbank
Festerling-Syvret
Nice
There's nothing to see here. And nothing gazes back at me.
Hm..
I don’t think Festerling makes it up above Sbisa, myself. And with the Wisniewski arbitration looming overhead, the Top 7 I see looks like this:
W/ Wiz:
Visnovsky-Sbisa
Wisniewski-Lydman
Brookbank-Mikkelson
Fowler
W/o Wiz:
Visnovsky-Sbisa
Lydman-Fowler
Brookbank-Mikkelson
Syvret
I think we need a big veteran dude. I miss Sean O’Donnell.

Don’t forget about Festerling. I’m sure he’ll see playing time on the third pairing again.
We need more Boyntons.
Gardiner will be returning to Madison. It’s a bigger deal for NCAA guys to sign contracts, because they can’t return to the NCAA if they do it. Fowler can play nine games with Anaheim and get sent back to Windsor without even tolling a year off of his RFA, so this isn’t really big news; it just means the Ducks are willing to give him the shot (or 9 games of the shot) he assumed he’d have as a top 5 pick.

That shoot out goal is damned epic though….
speaking of getting trapped on youtube watching hockey videos-sign sutton, screw skill I want to see train-wrecks so bad I dream about them after games
I rec’d that shit.
Clark is a big guy, hopefully he’s developed a lot and earns his time in our D. He’s a big dude who can bruise. I just hope he’s ready.
He looked good in camp a few weeks ago. Physically he looks ready but is he mentally prepared for the NHL game? He didn’t make to many mental mistakes during camp but that might change when he gets up to the NHL. That is typical of "growing pains" for any NHL’er but this year as thin as we are on d we cannot afford to have our rookies making those mistakes. Shitty situation for our rookies on d but it is what it is. I say give him a shot and if he can hang then keep him up. I like Clark and hope to God he is ready. If he is he could be a big help to our problems.
