Lukáš Krajíček to the Ducks?
I don't know anything about the guy, so I was wondering what some of the more enlightened fans would think of him , and if he'd be a good fit in our top 6. He's said he wants to find a permanent place to stay, do you think it's in our interest to give him one?

He’s not very good, this would be another Nick Boynton signing but I think Murray learned his lesson.
Well, signing him would add some size to our back end, but I personally don’t think we need another depth defenseman who would round out the bottom pairing. We have Fowler for the first 9 games (or more, hopefully) to play with Brookbank. Then you’ve got Festerling, Mikkelsson, Syvret, Clark, Regan, and De Gray. All those guys can step up and play bottom pairing minutes, signing Krajicek would just be redundant.
I think we need a top 4 guy who can put some points on the board and quarterback the 2nd power play unit. It might be Fowler, but Murray should be operating under the assumption that it might not be.
There's nothing to see here. And nothing gazes back at me.
It’s a sad state of affairs for your corps when a guy of Krajicek’s frame and limited physicality is considered a size addition. I think he becomes a guy that’s proven he can play on a pairing with a much better (but smaller) guy, thus making him an actual 5-7 defenseman, but a Top 4 pairing possibility in practice. That’s always intriguing at 700K. I don’t know if Brookbank could do it, more because of quality of competition than ice time. I don’t know if we can count on Andy Sutton to do it for 82 games. And Festerling was sketchy doing it for about half a season with Nieds. It’s not an awful acquisition as long as Murray’s wiling to move him the moment any of our prospects looks ready.

The more I learn about him, the more I think this guy is an Eminger twin. He’s not really top 4 material. If he was, he would have already had some experience with an increased amount of ice time. But he hasn’t. He seems like a career bottom pairing guy. And I hope Murray learned last season that when you acquire a guy who has played bottom pairing minutes throughout his entire NHL career and you expect him to play top 4 minutes, the result will be nothing short of a train wreck.
He might be an okay filler for when Sutton goes down, but I’d like Murray to invest in something better. And personally, I like how Brookbank improved last year and I’m more willing to give him a shot at the top 4 when Sutton goes down rather than Krajicek.

Based on what the Flyer fans are saying, I dont think we need this guy getting in the way of playing time for our young’ns
There's always money in the banana stand
He has way too many weird marks in his name, no thank you.
No but really I would rather spend our time/money/energy getting someone of value. I like what Arthur said (in theory) about dumping him the second a prospect is ready but how realistic is that? I already feel like this club brings up rookies really slowly (not necessarily a bad thing, just saying) and I don’t want another fringe player taking up their potential spots.

im not for it i would rather have some of the kids nd minor league guys battle it out. the last time our system had an impact we had guys like kunitz penner getzlaf nd perry. we need to see what the guys we hav drafted over the yrs rlly can do. we need to prove tht we hav a system capable of filling holes.
Waste of time
Weird name, 1. 2, he is a quality 6 or 7 defenseman on a team with absolutely no future ready. Hello, Ducks have so many guys that we drafted that will be better. If Murray signs him, I don’t think Carlyle will play him. Guys are better than this guy still in Free agency. If you wan’t a D-man so badly either convince Nieds to come out of retirement (joke), sign Willie Mitchell or Marc Andre Bergeron, or trade for Bieksa. Seriously, Fowler, Sbisa, Clark, De Gray, Festerling, Syvret and maybe even Mitera are up for this job, dont just add someone to add someone… come on
LYDMAN – SUTTON (decent looking shutdown pairing if they have chemistry)
SBISA – BROOKBANK
VISNOVSKY – MIKKELSSON/FESTERLING/SYRVET??? (We need a real defensemen here to make up for Lubo’s lack of size and physicality)
I guess you pair Krajicek with Lubo and you got a Czechoslovak line that might jell and insurance policy in case no youngens can get better
Festerling- get bigger and improve positioning so you can play the physical brand you bring better.
Mikkelsson- get more aggressive. you’re a good skater and decent puck handler. you should be in opponents jerseys with your size and skating, and pushing the play when you got the puck. there is no reason you shouldn’t be on the club full time.
*side note= Not confident that Lubo can log top D time. Don’t remember him being all that consistent in his own zone. Caryle played him as more of a 5/powerplay quarterback last season.

I’m just popping in to admire the proper use of diacritics in this post. A beautiful thing.
