Temmu's coming back... according to TSN
I'm too lazy to give you guys a link right now but just type in tsn's address and the story will be the first thing that comes up. TSN's reporting that Teemu told the team he is returning and that he expects the contract to be shelled out during the weekend. Now the Kariya to Anaheim rumor just might pick up some steam. I don't think it would be a bad idea to have Kariya back. He can still score a bunch of goals on the PP even though he may have lost a step or two. If he could duplicate the chemistry he had with Teemu a few years ago then that would be a dangerous 2nd line. Although some of you may think that we have too many forwards and adding Kariya would just take away Belesky or Sexton's ice time. I wouldn't mind as long as Murray brings him in for the right price (paycut from what he earned with St. Louis).

I want to note that it’s a pretty common statement out there that we have to ship Blake out in order to get Kariya. I don’t think that’s necessarily true. Remember that we still don’t have Ryan signed and although Kariya won’t replace Ryan’s goals 1 for 1, Ryan still is the best trade piece that we have. Blake is an extremely versatile player and doesn’t have to play on a scoring line. I think he and Marchant could cause a lot of havoc together. If they add one big physical player that can skate on that line, I think that line could be dangerous. It will be interesting though how lines get setup with all these forwards.
So maybe line combinations that look like this
Lupul-Getzlaf-Perry
Kariya-Koivu-Selanne
Beleskey-Marchant-Blake
Voros-Chipchura-Parros.
Still leaves poor Sexton in the AHL. I think Blake has to go just so we can get some youth into the line up. I really like what Sexton brings to the table. I’d hate to see him stuck in the AHL.
Those first two lines could be lethal. Names for the lines? How about Young Bucks and Old Guys Rule?

Albert there is no way in hell he will make what he did with the Blues. I agree a paycut is in order and if Paul has a chance to play with Teemu and Saku, I think he will give us a discount.
Yeah history is on our side with this one. I think they will take 2 year deals so Paul Saku and Teemu can all go out together and ride off into the sunset. With one more D man I think we will have a damn good team for the next few years.
