The Ducks announced their re-assignments and moves for the day:
Assigned to Syracuse (AHL):
Trevor Smith – Center
MacGregor Sharp – Center
Timo Pielmeier – Goaltender
Jake Newton – Defenseman
Assigned to Junior Team:
Igor Bobkov – Goaltender (London/OHL)
Released from Pro Tryout:
Stephane Veilleux – Left Wing
Anaheim now has 30 players remaining on its 2010 Training Camp Roster – 18 forwards, 10 defensemen and two goaltenders.
Smith and Sharp return to the AHL, while goaltender Timo Pielmeier takes his first shot at an American League job after spending a successful season in the ECHL. Jake Newton looks to get his first shot at pro hockey overall, and Igor Bobkov ends an unexpected stay with Anaheim now that the paperwork to send him to the London Knights has finally cleared.
The Ducks also released their last remaining pro tryout, NHL veteran Stephane Veilleux.
