Troy Bodie is Back!

Today, Troy Bodie signed a one year, two-way deal with the Anaheim Ducks after a brief vacation with the Carolina Hurricanes and the Winnipeg Jets. Bodie is expected to report to Syracuse after clearing waivers.

I have always liked Bodie. Great with the fans. And now, the only man to defeat the Ra Sushi Curse.

I’m down with this. Sure up the bottom 6 while bringing some character into syracuse. Size as well.

I think it’s a decent enough move, dare I say good even. Ducks lose some grit in McGrattan, and replace it with Bodie. Bodie can be a tough guy in Syracuse and provide bottom 6 insurance for the Ducks in the form of a player who has played for Carlyle before and should be able to handle the system.

Now, if only we could convince the Stars to take Blake in a salary dump…

I get frustrated with be a GM. The trading system is beyond ridiculous. Although, I will put together a classic Ducks team for real.

Completely unrelated sidenote: I watched the Pens play the Caps last night, and couldn’t help but miss Kunitz. He’d look so good with Koivu and Selanne.
