Your Friendly Monday Links Roundup: The Luckily, The Kings Aren't Interested in Randy Carlyle Edition
The Kings are struggling (it must be something in SoCal), and it is expected that Terry Murray will be fired soon. However, despite the greatest fears of every AC reader, the Kings organization has said that they are not interested in Randy Carlyle. Translation: Terry Murray will be fired and replaced with Randy Carlyle, AND the Kings will somehow manage to acquire Jeff Carter from Columbus. Just saying. [Ed. Note: Kristen vs. The Magumbo Gods]

Now that’s crazy. With a superstar in DD a strong D core and all the great 2way forwards that the Kings have I think RC would fit in a lot better there then he did with this and last years Ducks.
I agree, too.
As I argued in the piece, the ‘we aren’t considering RC’ angle could just be a giant smokescreen. NHL clubs are notoriously cagey. Time will tell, though.

JuMowbray, you're always so on top of things.
Here’s the link if anyone’s interested. Timo Pielmeier has left us as well, but I think our goalie-depth situation will be ok in the long run (let’s hope that John Gibson turns into something).

Haha, thank you.
And two more notes:
1) Cue the continuous onslaught of people confusing Devante Smith-PELLY with Rod PELLEY’s name. (Like TSN’s Bob MacKenzie does ever so frequently); and..
2) With the trade of Pielmeier, we are officially left with Bonino as the lone ‘good’ piece from the Moen/Huskins ‘09 Trade Deadline deal (contingent on how well Fraser/Pelley turn out, and I’m assuming not so great).
You're welcome!
