ARTHUR:
For a period and a half, it looked as though the Ducks had the compete level to compensate for their lack of execution, but the team ultimately succumbed to a pair of quick goals and ultimately, a 5-2 loss to the visiting Coyotes. At one point, Anaheim had a 25-15 shot lead on Phoenix, and Corey Perry's 2nd goal of the game seemed to turn the tide completely in the Ducks favor late in the 2nd period. But even later in the 2nd period, the Coyotes answered with two quick scores and held serve to finish the game and keep Anaheim locked out of the current playoff picture.
