Ducks Sign Mark Bell
DANIEL:
As per Eric Stephens' Twitter account, the Ducks have signed Mark Bell to a two way contract. Bell is winger with some size who has spent the past two season in the Swedish Elite League. He has a couple of 20 goal season under his belt from the mid 2000's, when he was playing for the Chicago Blackhawks. Bell might be a piece to improve the scoring and grit and of the Anaheim's bottom 6. If nothing else, he'll provide a veteran presence in Syracuse.

Big body, sounds motivated, good combo if he still has it after being away, he was declining before he left, once played with Slow Joe and Cheechoo…
All fair and good points. The decline is particularly of concern to me, but I think stabilized somewhere between 4th and third line production while in Sweden.
he was in the swiss league.
don’t know about that signing… i don’t think he will contribute much.
but he’s coming cheap, and we have not given up anything for him, so if he works out we’ll be fine, if not, he’s gone after a year in AHL
Thanks for looking that up. I don’t think Daniel or myself were really going to.

A solid player before he left the NHL. His game reminds me of former Duck Mike Leclerc.

Whats with Murray and his obsession with first round busts?
We need more Boyntons.
Fire Carlye & Murray!
Just to clarify a bit
Bust probably isn’t the best term. More like 1st rounders that never really met expectations. I guess mediocre is a slightly better term.

Fire Carlye & Murray!
See what happens when you mix the Swedish and Swiss leagues up?
