Just a side note here: if for any reason Weber and the Preds do not agree on a contract (arbitration has already begun), I think Murray needs to speak to the Samuelis (due to the internal salary cap), because this is a player any team needs and I believe he would make the Ducks a lock as Stanley Cup contenders (and I am not talking "maybe contenders", I am talking finals).

He might have to give up a lot, but Weber is still quite young and only at the beginning of his prime. Visnovsky, Sbisa and a first rounder should be a no brainer (I think). Any maybe he can even be signed as a UFA (though I see that NSH would not let him just walk away and neither would the Ducks be the prime location for this kind of a player).

I know, it's all just a dream, but if this player becomes available, I think the Ducks should offer everything they can.
