So due to our dwindling playoff chances, and because I'm bored I decided to make my mock draft. This draft is based on IF the season ended today. I'm interested in everyone's comments, criticism, and feedback. Here goes nothing.1. Columbus-LW Nail Yakupov- I've heard he's had some injury problems, and could be prone to concussion, but I don't think Columbus would pass on this amazing of a talent. 2. Edmonton-D Ryan Murray- Edmonton desperately needs a physical shutdown defenseman which is why Murray is their guy. 3. Montreal-C Mikhail Grigorenko- They need a centerman, and he definately provides that. 4. New York-D Mathew Dumba- He's a guy that a lot of people think will be better than Murray once he fills out his frame. The concern is that he plays to physical for his body size. 5. Carolina-LW Filip Forsberg- After Skinner the Canes are pretty thin on the wing, and Forsberg can score. 6. Minnesota-C Alex Galchenyuk- I'd love for him to fall to the Ducks, but if the Ducks stay where they currently are it's not happening . 7. Toronto-D Morgan Reilly- Good puck moving defenseman. 8. Anaheim-D Jacob Trouba- Nice looking all around defenseman. If we lose Schultz I think this lessens the blow. 9. Tampa Bay-D Griffin Reinhart 10. Winnipeg-C Radek Faska 11. Buffalo-D Cody Ceci 12. Wahington-D Matt Finn 13. Columbus(recieved in the Carter deal)-D Slater Koekkoek 14. Calgary-C Brendan Gaunce 15. San Jose-D Derrick Pouliot 16. Colorado-RW Sebastian Collberg 17. Phoenix-LW Pontus Aberg 18. Ottawa-C Zemgus Girgensons 19. Chicago-G Andrej Vasilevski 20. New Jersey-LW Teuvo Teravainen 21. Philadelphia-D Olli Maata 22. Pittsburgh-D Ludvig Bystrom 23. Florida-RW Tom Wilson 24. Boston-D Brady Skjei 25. Nashville-LW Thomas Hertl 26. Detroit-G Malcom Subban 27. Dallas-RW Colton Sissons 28. Vancouver-D Michael Matheson 29. New York-RW Martin Frk 30. Saint Louis-LW Stefan Matteau The draft order might be off by a little bit because I had to rush towards the end, but it is close. Thoughts?
