We've seen some contentious hockey in the last five days or so. It's been awesome. It should make our team feel really, really poorly for not qualifying.
The controversy bookending all these fantastic games has also been stellar. Fighting is up. Cross-checking people in the face, up. Sucker punches and turnbuckles and sticking opposing player gloves away are all up this season.
But they have nothing on this.
This is the kind of thing that sparks real controversy. Nashville and Detroit have elevated their rivalry into the danger zone.
It is one thing to try to kill a man on the ice, but you take away his Ping Pong?
Expect game four to be violent. Violent, indeed.
