Series Record & Storyline: Blueshirts 1 - Red, White & Blueshirts 1. Is Dale Hunter actually a genius? Alex Ovechkin's ice time has been much debated about. He played just over 13 minutes in Game 2, significantly less time than you would think for a player of his caliber. Ovechkin ended up scoring the game-winning goal at the end of the game, so that means it's working, right? Who knows, but that is now two head coaches that have benched Ovie this season.

Series Record & Storyline: Phoenix, seriously 2 - Why isn't Tootoo playing, Nashville 0. If you haven't heard already, two of the primary offensive players for the Nashville Predators, Alexander Radulov and Andrei Kostitsyn, will not be playing in tonight's game for a violation of team rules. Pretty balsy move by Barry Trotz and David Poile considering their team is down 0-2 to the 'Yotes. I have to applaud their no BS approach, though. Should the Preds lose Game 3, they can easily point at missing those two players and thereby increasing the shame spiral the guys should be in. One person that I kind of want to hear from is Sergei Kostitsyn, brother and teammate of Andrei. Why wasn't he invited? I'd be mad at my brother if he left me out. HA!
