Series Record: LA 1 - NJ 0
If the Devils have learned anything from Game 1, it's that they should never leave Anze Kopitar on his own - ever. Hell, they should have known that going in to Game 1. I'll give credit where credit is due, he is an incredible scorer. (I can't help but think what the Ducks would be like had they taken Anze Kopitar instead of Bobby Ryan in the draft.) One-on-one, Martin Brodeur had no chance. Kopitar has made goalies look foolish like this before and will continue to if he's served up softballs like his overtime goal. Major brain fart on New Jersey's part and the Kings made them pay.The Devils would have never put themselves in the position to lose in OT, had they scored on the 2309482039 open net opportunities they had during the game. Now that the teams have become acquainted, expect an even more physical game and better open-net protection from Jonathan Quick.
