2013-14 Admirals Preview: Penalty Kill

Mat Clark will play a big role on the Ads PK - Norfolk Admirals/John Wright

Last year's PK was one of the bright spots for Norfolk. Even though there's been some serious turnover, hopefully they can get back near the top of the league.

2013 Stats: 86.1%, 4th out of 30.  Only Wilkes-Barre, Rochester, and Charlotte finished higher. Five players had one shorthanded goal; Patrick Maroon, Peter Holland, Chris Wagner, Emerson Etem, Troy Bodie.

Projected First Unit: Wagner - Joseph Cramarossa up front and Mat Clark - Alex Grant in the back.  If we get Etem back I'd put him in instead of Cramarossa.

Last Person I want on the Ice during PK: I don't want to target Zack Stortini again so who ever ends up being a turnover machine through the season, it will be that guy!

Changes from Last Year: This year we definitely won't have Rod Pelley on the penalty kill and he was a big face off winner and killer.  Some of the other losses are Nate Guenin, John Mitchell, and Emerson Etem if/when he makes the Ducks.  Finishing fourth out of 30 teams doesn't leave a ton of room for improvement but I would like to see another top 10 finish for this unit.
