Anaheim Calling Staff Playoff Predictions - Final Results

If you beat everyone except Anaheim, jump up and down for joy! - Jim Rogash

I WIN!* (*and so does Kristen)

Melt down the ice, shut off the lights, and lock the arena doors; the 2013 NHL season is has come to a close.

Wow you want to talk about an unbelievable final? Try that one on for size. Even though the series only went to six games, the Chicago Blackhawks and the Boston Bruins played arguably the best final series I can remember (and yes, that includes our victorious 2007 final).

SPOILER ALERT: Two goals in 17 seconds derailed the Boston Bruins, giving the Blackhawks a 3-2 victory in game six and a 4-2 series score.

Sound familiar? Something similar happened to the Toronto Maple Leafs back in the quarterfinals of this year's playoffs, surrendering a late lead with 51 seconds left before losing in overtime to none other than the Boston Bruins. Not even M. Night Shymalan could have come up with an ironic twist of poetic justice like that.

But with the end of the playoffs comes the conclusion of our Anaheim Calling Staff Playoff Predictions game and it's now time for us to tally the final scores.

Your champions are KRISTEN and KYLE! Valiant efforts from Chis, Jen, and Robby made the race super close right down to the very end. As I stated in the preview piece, this was legitimately anybody's game.

If any of you scored higher than we did, congrats to you too. Thanks to everybody for following along and we're looking forward to next season's playoff prediction game.

Kristen can give a victory speech in the comments down below but since I'm the one who's currently got hold of the soapbox... *ahem*

I had a ton of fun. I went through some rough patches in my life during this spring/summer but I'd like to thank everyone for sticking with me and I'm glad the ugliness of the lockout was answered by a stellar short season and an even better playoffs. I can't wait for more staff challenges and other group projects like this. And lastly...

SUCK IT, FELLOW STAFFERS (except Kristen)!

*Runs away before Jen and Chris start throwing things at him*

[Ed. Note: Just call me Toronto and/or Boston. I lost the game in the a matter of seconds - JN]
