By taking half of what he's earned the previous few years, Teemu's left Bob Murray with a larger chunk of spending cash to potentially do something with. It's clear by all of the interviews that Teemu's expectations of himself are not lower. He wants top 6 minutes and he wants to contribute. He wouldn't be playing if he didn't feel he can. That said, his contract number does not mean that he, or the Ducks, expect or want less of him. It's also clear that Teemu is a very active part of this hockey club as he met several times with Murray and Boudreau to discuss plans for this year. It wouldn't be surprising to find out down the road that he knows something the rest of us don't. He also wouldn't have come back if he didn't feel this team could win. Could his $2 million contract be an indication that Bob Murray isn't done moving pieces yet?
