Numbers for Nerds: The Ducks have been a top shot-blocking team for most of the season. Currently, the team sits at eighth in blocked shots. The difference between the earlier games and now is that more blocks are coming from a defense setting up shop in shooting lanes. As a consequence, Anaheim isn’t getting to loose pucks quick enough to prevent more shots from coming. My suspicion on this one is that the defense is tired. Hopefully healthy bodies means Boudreau can rotate players out to rest them for the playoffs.
