Ducks traded Evgeny Artyukhin to the Atlanta Thrashers in exchange for minor league defenseman, Nathan Oystrick, and a conditional pick.

The move doesn't seem to do much for the Ducks other than get rid of R2's $1 million contract.

Teemu Selanne Mcfarlane. I don't know if anyone is looking to add the new Teemu Mcfarlane figure to their rink (or if they even own a rink), but this is what it looks like. Apparently, the scaling was changed at some point in the 20 or so series since they last made a Ducks player, but he's considerably bigger and bulkier than the three pictured figures. He looks like Chara out there. Congrats Teemu. Sorry you missed the gold this year.

It's hard to do statistical analysis with Gabe tooling around SBN showing everyone up. He's evaluated power plays over the last 20 years (after his great feature on PP's since 1963), adjusted for the league average, and the '98-'99 Mighty Ducks of Anaheim came in 3rd. It was kind of a three man unit back then (Kariya, Selanne, Olausson), though McInnis and Sandstrom weren't slouches. And two members of today's Ducks still remember that team fondly: Newell Brown and Teemu Selanne. Brown's playbook should be called 101 Ways To Get It To Teemu.
