DANIEL:
The Ducks proved that all good things must come to an end. They dropped another decision to a division foe Sunday night, as they fell to the Phoenix Coyotes 3-2 in overtime. The Ducks surrendered a one goal lead, and erased a one goal deficit in the third period. Although they salvaged a point, the Ducks loss tonight will drop them even further into the depths of the Pacific division cellar. The futility of the offense through two periods of play was ultimately the Ducks undoing, as they wasted a 23 save performance by J.S. Giguere. Giguere's 23 saves were not enough to out duel his former backup Ilya Bryzgalov. Perhaps the lone bright spot for the Ducks was that Corey Perry assisted on the Ducks second goal and now has the longest point scoring streak in team history.
