DANIEL:
The Ducks continue to find ways to lose as they surrendered 3 third period goals to the Dallas Stars. There were few positives to take from the game except the offensive chances generated by rookie MacGregor Sharp. The power play was unsuccessful on both of the Ducks opportunities, one of which was 3 minutes of a major penalty. The Ducks inability to capitalize on multiple scoring chances was ultimately their undoing as a fluke goal that deflected off of James Wisniewski's skate would tie the game, and then a soft goal given up by Jean-Sebastien Giguere would be the go ahead marker the Stars needed to cement the win. The Ducks have not won in their last 7 games on the road posting a depressingly impressive 0-5-2 mark. Just in case the road trip didn't start on a bad enough note, Teemu Selanne fractured a bone in his left hand when he blocked a shot in the second period. This day also marked the end of Corey Perry's point streak at 19 games, so good times all around.
