DANIEL:
The Ducks finished a pointless road trip by showing up for 1/2 of the game against the Chicago Blackhawks. After playing to a scoreless tie through the first 25 minutes of the game, Versteeg beat Giguere from right in front of the crease. Giguere was once again victimized from in close after Nick Boynton decided to be a Blackhawk for a shift, and fed Troy Brouwer in the circle. From that point on the Ducks defense was pretty much M.I.A. and the Blackhawks dominated the rest of the game. The Ducks showed a little life with less than 5 minutes to play when Petteri Nokelainen scored two goals that couldn't be more meaningless if they happened in the preseason. The last 3 goals scored by the Ducks have all been produced by the line of Aryukhin-Nokelainen-Brown. Those 3 goals also account for half of the offense generated on this road trip. Just some encouragement as the Ducks head back to Anaheim to battle the much hated Detroit Red Wings.
