ARTHUR:
It's an abbreviated gameday today. I've tried to give our Emerson Etem Interview as much time at the top of the page as possible, and it will probably jump back there after the game is over, be forewarned.
The story of tonight's game is obviously the debut of Toni Lydman in a Ducks uniform, confirmed by Eric Stephens via Twitter a little before noon today. In the video after the jump, he spoke about the difficulties of a possible return. Hopefully we don't see any of those difficulties manifest themselves tonight.
There is a palpable fragility in the comments in the video above, and hot words like "one game" and "confidence." And that is really where the Ducks are right now, walking the tight rope between finding themselves and faking it until they make it. It's a loosely woven team right now. They're hoping to tighten things up tonight and not let Atlanta pull on any of those stray threads.
In happier news, Robby got an orange puck last year and is going to an exclusive practice meet and greet with Ryan Getzlaf tomorrow. He's not sure how much meet and greet time he gets with Getz, but he's opened it up to the readers. Is there anything you lot would like Robby to ask Getzlaf?
