Cam returns home tonight, a rare privilege afforded a rookie still in the middle of his nine game test drive (and perhaps a sad commentary on the travel burdens of being a west coast hockey team). However, it's still up in the air if he takes the ice or watches from the press box.
Curtis McElhinney will get a consecutive start after proving himself up to the task of the shot totals that may define the 2010-11 Ducks season. Hiller will get to rest and clean the millions of black rubber scuffs from his equipment (including his helmet, which reportedly began the season as a glossy white).
According to the Register, Carlyle would like to play Visnovsky less so as not to tire him out. Lubo would probably like it if Carlyle stopped patting him on the back and saying "Niedermayer, get out there." But I guess this is a start.
The Ducks are looking to notch their second road win of the season on the heels of their first, while perhaps attempting to avenge their embarrassing season opening loss at the hands of the winged-wheel. Will Carlyle give his new line combos a chance to get old? Will he actually trust someone who is not Visnovsky with a piece of those 26+ minutes?
