ARTHUR:
The Ducks beat the Dallas Stars 5-2 (no, seriously) to notch just their second road win of their young but travel heavy season. Anaheim notched four even strength goals (no, seriously, this happened), including a breakaway goal by George Parros (okay, that one sounds like a lie, but I promise this happened) and a goal scored with a funcitonal manpower advantage as the Stars neglected to place a player in the penalty box when Stephane Robidas received a 5 minute major Boarding penalty and a game misconduct for his hit on Matt Beleskey. The young Ducks forward appeared knocked out on the play but came around and was helped off the ice. The team tweeted after the game that Beleskey has full mobility and is being examined by doctors.
The Ducks successfully rolled four lines for perhaps the first time in the season, despite (maybe even because of) Coach Carlyle's decision to scratch Jason Blake. Jonas Hiller still faced his customary 37 shots, but the Ducks displayed a more consistent effort than they have proffered their netminder thus far this season.
Anaheim's performance tonight entitles Ducks fans to a free order of Hooters wings (5 goals) and a free order of Oggi's Stix (PP goal). Note that purchase is necessary for the latter but not the former.
