Open Gameday Recap Thread Ducks @ Sharks

ARTHUR:
The Sharks jumped out to a 5 goal lead en route to a 5-2 victory over Anaheim tonight.  The Ducks were slow and found penalty trouble early against a strong San Jose power play.  The Sharks coasted after two periods, and Anaheim tried to find its way back into the game with two scores on the man advantage and some late power play chances (even pulling goaltender Curtis McElhinney for a two-man advantage late despite a three goal deficit), but it was much too little and too late.

Cam Fowler sat out another game, though everyone seems optimistic about his return with the extended layoff before the next game and how hard he has been skating in practice.  The Ducks allowed 41 shots on their backup netmidner, despite the fact that San Jose backed off and rattled off only three shots in the third.
