THE TELETYPE:
The Duluth News Tribune is reporting that the Anaheim Ducks have signed University of Minnesota Duluth forward Rob Bordson to a two-year prorated deal worth around 900K per season. UPDATE: According to CapGeek, Bordson will earn a prorated 900K for this season and 825K for next season for an 862.5K cap hit. His AHL contract is 67.5K per year.
The 6'2" playmaker was a fixture on the Bulldogs power play this year, which was one of the best in the country. However, Bordson was not a factor on last year's team, which had a dream run from the WCHA play-in game to the Championship and an impressive showing in the NCAA tournament.
