DANIEL:
The Ducks turned in their second poor effort since the Olympic break. So far, it's been a painful march out of the playoff race. There seems to be no explanation for the Ducks' inability to generate anything that even resembles offense. Calling the Ducks PP anemic would be generous. A power play unit that started at a very respectable 2 for 5 against Colorado, went 0 for 7 against the Coyotes. The Ducks need to have a serious turn around. They're 5 points out of a playoff spot, and if they don't find inspiration it's time to start talking lottery picks.
On a positive note, Visnovsky and Ward looked pretty good at times. Visnovsky is getting the puck to the net, and Ward is playing like a big defenseman who can hit. Each man is fulfilling his purpose. It's certainly panic time, but maybe it's not fully over.
Congratulations to former Duck Ilya Bryzgalov who set the Phoenix Coyotes franchise record for victories in a season. You're welcome Phoenix.
