Open Gameday Recap Thread Ducks @ Kings

ARTHUR:

On their second shootout in as many nights, the Ducks emerged victorious, as Saku Koivu proved his hands slightly quicker than the Kings' netminder.  The Wonder Finn tied the game late with the man advantage and an empty net and emerged as the lone goal scorer in the three round shootout.

James Wisniewski returned to the lineup to a rusty and costly start for the Ducks, failing to clear the puck and playing a bad hunch into the half boards to set up the Kings' tally then executing a flagrant foul of a Holding penalty moments later.  Despite that, Carlyle squeezed 25:15 out of the blueliner in his first game back from an eight game suspension after a hit on the Blackhawks' Brent Seabrook.  Ducks win.
