There's a chance you might see some NCAA kids tonight, and with the Frozen Four on ESPN2, there's NO chance I won't. I'll flip back and forth, but I won't lie to you folks, I'll be watching the Frozen Four more than this game.
I still can't root for a Ducks loss, especially against the Stars, but if you look at the standings, the Ducks have the opportunity to sneak down at least one peg in the draft order if they can lose out. The Ducks currently have 86 points to the Stars 84, to the Flyers 86, to the Bruins 85, and to the Rangers 84, with Anaheim and Boston holding a game in hand over the pack. In terms of Draft position, tonight's game is actually quite meaningful, but to anyone watching, it will undoubtedly look like a preseason game.
Remember how I said that last watch party was the last watch party of the season? My bad. There's another one tonight at Hooters in Costa Mesa (1507 South Coast Drive). It starts at 5:30, so rush over if you can. Newport Rebel says it was totally worth it, though the police apparently confiscated his cell phone before he could forward the photographic evidence to me.
Post any game info and lineup changes in the comments.
