The Ducks formally announced today that 2009-10 WHL Coach of the Year Mark Holick will be running the team's AHL bench in Syracuse. The information had become common knowledge, and Holick admitted today that he had finalized the deal last weekend though both parties had declined to comment until today.
Holick is a new face in the AHL, despite having very successful runs in the BCHL, AJHL and now WHL with the Kootenay Ice.
