According to J.P. Hoornstra, Anaheim's 2008 fifth-round pick, defenseman Stefan Warg, has signed with the Örebro Vipers of Hockey Allsvenskan. The decision was made with the blessing of the Ducks front office, who have yet to offer an entry level contract to the native Swede. Both parties seemed to agree that a return to Sweden would be good for Warg, or at least better than returning to the WHL as a 20 year-old.
He had an impressive camp with the Ducks in September, playing a physical game with a high compete level.
